What DealSplit is

DealSplit is a place to post that you are buying something in bulk, and to find somebody nearby who wants part of it. The organizer buys the pack; the people who claimed shares meet them and take their part.

DealSplit is not a party to your split. We do not buy, sell, hold or ship anything, and we do not currently take or hold any payment. What you agree with the person you are splitting with is between the two of you.

Your account

You must be 18 or older. One account per person, with a real name or a name people will recognise you by — the whole model rests on meeting somebody who is who they said they were.

You are responsible for what happens under your account. If you think somebody else has access to it, tell us at support@dealsplit.app.

What you may not do here

• List anything you may not legally sell or share, including alcohol, tobacco, nicotine, cannabis, weapons, prescription medicines, live animals, or recalled or expired food.
• List something you do not intend to buy, or take a share you do not intend to collect.
• Use somebody else's photos, or describe a deal as something it is not.
• Harass, threaten or endanger anybody, on the app or at a pickup.
• Use DealSplit to run a shop. Splitting a pack you are buying anyway is the product; buying to resell is not.
• Scrape, automate, or attempt to reach data the app does not show you.

Meeting people

A pickup means meeting a stranger. Choose somewhere public, bring somebody if you would rather, and leave if it does not feel right — no split is worth it. The exact pickup address is released only to people confirmed on that split, and never before.

Ratings, reviews and verification badges say what other people have found. They are not a guarantee about anybody, and we do not run background checks.

Money

Today, people settle between themselves — in cash at the pickup, or however they agree. DealSplit does not process, hold or refund those payments, and cannot reverse one.

If a share is not what was described, raise it with the organizer first and report the listing if that does not resolve it. A report can lead to a listing being removed or an account being suspended; it is not a refund, and we cannot make it one.

If DealSplit ever charges a fee, the amount is shown before you commit — never at a final step — and this page will say how it works before that happens.

Your content

What you post stays yours. You give DealSplit permission to show it in the app and on this site so the product can work — a listing nobody can read is not a listing — and that permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except where somebody else's completed split already refers to it.

Ending it

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete account.

We can suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms or puts somebody at risk. Where we can say why, we will.

The parts a lawyer still has to write

Everything above describes what DealSplit actually does today, and it is accurate. The formal warranty, liability, indemnity, dispute-resolution and governing-law language that a complete agreement needs is not written here rather than invented, because inventing it would be the one part of this page nobody could check.
